We work out, exercise, and move, to look fit and that’s not a bad thing. Daily movement is important and can be done at the gym, out on a hike, or at home (here are some of my favorite at-home workout tools). But did you know that there are more reasons for daily movement that are not only for aesthetics? Photos are not mine and from Pinterest!

More Energy, Better Mood

More Energy, Better Mood with Daily Movement

Did you know that physical activity sends a signal to your brain to release endorphins? Endorphins have immune-boosting qualities which help with chronic pain, depression, and improvement in mood. Plus, physical activity provides more endurance which in turn makes you have better energy to do things you need to do without feeling exhausted by the end of the day.

Better Sleep

Have Better Sleep with Daily Movement

Being active throughout the day helps with a good night’s sleep! How? Physical activity can help with your sleep-wake cycle. Regular exercise helps regulate your sleep.

Healthy You

Daily Movement Means a Healthier You

Thirty minutes of physical activity each day can help strengthen your bones (in addition to Vitamin D and all your good vegetables)! Also, daily activity supports metabolic health and cardiovascular health.

Helps Mental Health

Moving daily helps with mental fatigue. Reduce stress by working out daily or taking a 20-30 minute walk. Regular movement keeps you from becoming burnt out right away.

Finally, SELF-CONFIDENCE!

I know I mentioned reasons for daily movement that are not aesthetics or image-based, but this is from a mental perspective. With daily movement, we will feel intrinsically better about ourselves, especially when that movement adds up to some changes. Feeling fit and able to do amazing moves when you exercise helps provide that self-confidence!

Final Thoughts

There are so many reasons to move daily and how beneficial it can be. Plus, you can exercise in so many different ways! You don’t need to go to the gym, you can do workouts at home (here are some of my favorite workout tools for home), hike, go for a run, swim, and even dance! At the end of the day, do the movement that makes you happy. Let’s get going!
