NYFW September 2023: Designers to Look Out For

New York Fashion Week is upon us. Scheduled from September 8 to September 13, NYFW will showcase its unique pieces, styles, and art. Here are a few designers to look out for in this week’s lineup.

Ralph Lauren

As an RL fan myself, we will be seeing Ralph Lauren making their return to New York Fashion Week. I know even though the trend of quiet luxury is on the rise, we can expect timeless, classic, and preppy pieces from the original trendsetter, Ralph Lauren.

A new name to the lineup is Grace Ling. I’m especially looking forward to her work as it mixes creativity and art with technology, utilizing 3D printing and CGI. This allows her pieces to embrace unique forms while being sustainable and embracing zero waste.

Kim Shui

A part of this year’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, Kim Shui will be showing her Spring/Summer 2024 runway collection. According to NYFW.com, “Kim Shui takes her ongoing unabashed celebration of the female form to the table for an intersectional dialogue on what it means to live and express oneself freely through dress.” I am excited to see how Kim expresses this! In the photo above, she truly showcases Fall 2023’s Fashion Trends with metallics, sheer, and of course the cherry red!

Proenza Schouler is one of those returning designers to NYFW. While I haven’t heard much of what they’re bringing to the runway this week, I am excited to see what they come up with!

There are 71 confirmed designers for New York Fashion Week. Who are you looking forward to seeing this week?
